Global Advantage, Inc.

Small Pain. Big Gain.

Leadership Portfolio

“I want my group to be a leadership ‘farm club’ or leadership ‘incubator’ for the rest of the organization. I want my group to be the place where people go for a couple of years in order to become the ‘rising stars’ in the company. I don’t want to ‘send them away to training.’ I don’t want them to take a ‘personality test’ and then expect the organization to accommodate their personality. I need a way to capture the ambition of younger, would-be leaders and weed out those who really don’t want to pay the price. I want to actually produce people with on-the-job proven leadership ability in two years or less.”

Global Advantage Can Help You With All or Part of The Following

  1. Define—in real-world, get-the-work-done, company-specific terms—the key indicators of true leadership at the top level of your company.
  2. Customize Global Advantage, Inc.’s three-phase process (Leadership Portfolio) to your organization’s specific requirements.
    1. The three phases of the process can span 12–24 months.
    2. The process is voluntary. Persons are invited but not required to attend. In this way, you immediately see who wants to lead.
    3. Each participant takes the initiative to acquire one or more mentors/coaches. The company does not provide coaches and mentors. (Leadership requires initiative and resourcefulness and the ability to build relationships.)
    4. Each person completes each phase’s pre-work at an excellent level before being permitted to progress through the process.
    5. The ultimate products of the process include:
      1. Demonstrations of having won commitment to bold and/or controversial proposals.
      2. Demonstrations of having built a high-performance team from persons belonging to different groups.
      3. Demonstrations of the ability to maintain or quickly re-gain composure in high-intensity speaking situations.
      4. Demonstrations of having led a team to solve one or more complex business problems with significant ROI.
      5. Provision of a personally designed—not designed by the company—career plan.
      6. Provision of a leadership portfolio containing specific and verified examples of ROI delivered to the company.
    6. Successful graduates of the process “give back” by recruiting additional high-potential individuals and by serving as alumnus speakers in subsequent “classes.”

“When the clock is running, there’s money on the table and reputation on the line, Global Advantage makes sense.”
