Small Pain. Big Gain.

Private Counsel for Must-Win Presentations

“I’m already a good communicator, but there is no margin for error in my upcoming presentation. I need to be 100% prepared and 100% effective… period.”

Global Advantage Can Help You With All or Part of The Following

  1. Prioritize the intended audiences. Be careful to identify types of audiences (the press, The Board, senior leaders, employees at-large, regulators, et al.)
  2. Thoroughly describe the particular communication requirements or dispositions of each audience. Pay particular attention to the culture-based communication requirements.
  3. Determine if your presentation seeks to win commitment, announce change, announce bad news, involve the audience in solving a problem, briefing the audience, inspiring the audience, or some combination of the above. (Each objective requires a unique approach.)
  4. Prioritize your most important messages.
  5. Select “support” for each key message according to what will be most compelling for each audience. Consider the inclusion of graphics and other media.
  6. Prepare for Q-&-A (questions and answers) by anticipating the most likely and challenging issues and your position relative to each issue.
  7. Practice. Receive expert feedback and coaching. Practice some more. (Do this for the presentation and for the Q-&-A.)
  8. Do a dry-run with a low risk audience. Adjust the presentation.
  9. Do the presentation. Get immediate, expert feedback. Adjust the presentation. Give the presentation to the next audience.
